Crazy Imperfect Love A Dirty Dicks/Big Sky Novella Kristen Proby Crossover Collection Book 3 edition by KL Grayson Kristen Proby Romance eBooks Reviews

  • 4.5 Stars

In anticipation of Crazy Imperfect Love, I read the books in KL Grayson's Dirty Dicks series (although this wasn't necessary at all; they really don't overlap). Both Abby and Drake had been mentioned on many occasions in connection to Hannah (Abby is Hannah's sister, and Drake and Hannah have been friends for years). I really wanted to read their story!

Abby has a very routine life, often led by her OCD tendencies, so to try to break up the routine, she takes a position as a traveling nurse. Drake is the chief of surgery at the hospital in Cunningham Falls where Abby winds up. They had met at Hannah's wedding and hit it off right away. But with Abby only being in Cunningham Falls for a short period of time, and Drake being her superior, a relationship is not possible.

I absolutely loved this story! I loved Abby and her OCD, and how well Drake handled it- curious and patient, not accusatory or frustrated. KL Grayson did a wonderful job of infiltrating Kristen Proby's Big Sky world- a place that I really wish that I could visit!

I highly recommend Crazy Imperfect Love, KL Grayson's Dirty Dicks series, as well as Kristen Proby's Big Sky series!
  • Crazy Imperfect love is my first K.L Grayson book. When I signed up to blog several of the stories that were releasing in the new Kristen Proby Collection, I thought it would be an excellent time to experience her writing for myself. And overall, I was delighted with this quick and easy read that was equally sweet and fun. This book happened to follow up several darker romances that I have been reading for my blog and it was a great book to read following those reads. Although as a first-time reader, I wish I had grabbed a full length K.L. Grayson book to start—then again, I somehow missed that this was a novella—so I felt like the book and characters were slightly underdeveloped. That said, I am definitely intrigued by her writing and will be scoping out other books she’s written so that I can see the true extent of her talents. I mean, let’s face it, novellas and short stories have to lack something, or they would be a full-length novel. I am pointing this out not as a determent to this story, but in fact so that the four stars I gave it would impart onto those reading reviews that this really is worth your time… worth considering for your next read! I loved that the characters were so quick to hit it off. Their instant attraction played into their rightness for one another and no romance reader worth their salt would tell you otherwise. The story is told in dual perspectives and the (very) slightly taboo plot gives readers the chance to see a relationship that moves quickly between a sexy surgeon and his nurse. The story moved quickly and left me with the warm and fuzzies that I love when I pick up this kind of romance. You can absolutely read this book as a standalone, although I won’t lie and tell you that you will want to. I personally devour everything I can by Kristen Proby so this collection was exciting for me to see in the works and I wasn’t disappointed in any of the stories I had the opportunity to read and review.
  • I read this book as part of the Kristen Proby crossover collection. What a seamless crossover! I hope all of the other books are this smooth. It's almost like I didn't realize I wasn't reading Kristen's writing. The story and the writing fit so well with the rest of the series.

Abby and Drake's relationship was one that I'd seen peeks at in other books in the series. These crossover stories are sometimes not in time order, but I don't mind it, and it doesn't feel like a spoiler, knowing that they end up together. Kristen Proby is a total HEA author, so it makes sense that the other stories would incorporate that as well. Drake fights for the woman he wants, until she's ready to walk away. Then it's her fight to win! What a great story of push and pull, chasing their HEA.

I've only read one other book by KL Grayson prior to this one, but I can't wait to read more!
  • Abby is visiting Montana for her cousin’s wedding. She is not very adventurous so her cousin and friend try to talk her into doing something out of her comfort zone.
Drake is a surgeon who is best friend’s with Abby’s cousin Hannah and thinks Abby and very attractive. I really enjoyed this story. I loved the Characters and their chemistry with each other. I also loved how Drake was able to help Abigail with her problems, and it was so sweet the things he would do for her. In the beginning when Abigail was telling about her problems it made me feel kind of sad for her, and made me wonder if I know people who may have some of the same struggles. This book also had a fun and sexy feel. Several parts had me smiling and a few had me feeling a little flushed. Overall this was a great read, I really enjoyed the ending, and am glad I got to read Crazy Imperfect Love!
  • This book had me laughing out loud! It has a lot of humor and really sweet swoon worthy moments.
Abigail is Hannah's cousin, she comes to Cunningham Falls for Hannah's wedding and meets the tall sexy Drake. One night together is all they have before Abby flies home to Texas. A month later Abby finds herself working as a traveling nurse back in Cunningham Falls.
Drake is the Chief of Surgery and hasn't been able to get Abby out of his head when low and behold the object of his desire in right in front of him. The attraction is still there and they would like nothing better than to explore it except the hospital has a no frat. policy against people in less roles dating subordinates.
Try as they might they can't stay away from one another. Something has to give.
