- If you are seriously considering starting a business of your own with a desire to customize it around who you are, your 'workstyle' and lifestyle, then this is your “launch!â€
Cat’s book was an infusion of energy to boost my motivation, to keep on with the work in my own business development, and reaffirm why certain things are working well. I don’t see many business books or programs focusing on how to personalize our work or ‘workstyle’ but she hits it right on the head for why this is so important! It is what will end even a ‘successful’ business, if left unconsidered. Simply put, a career or business mismatch to your workstyle and lifestyle is non-sustainable. A business must be built around you. This book explains why and better yet, how to achieve this!
She is quite up-to-date and relevant in all the information she presents, captured by a favorite quote of mine about the current market driver “The door to inflexible time-bound workstyles closes while another door to time-friendly tech-driven businesses opens." Online business is more accessible now than ever and Cat gives the foundation of everything you need to consider – including when and how to make the decision - if this path is right for you!
What I appreciate is the humanized understanding throughout this book, which includes real life examples, coaching questions for consideration, and a process with steps and tools. It isn’t purely a didactic read. Additionally, you get to go for a ride with Cat on her own business adventures, learn from her wisdom of what works and what doesn't, and have a few laughs on the way with that witty sense of down-to-earth humor. Who wouldn't want to pour a cup of tea or coffee and give this a read?! - Having taken some of Cat's web courses I was excited to learn more from her. As to be expected, the first part of the book went over a lot of what I learned in the courses, but it would be beneficial to people who haven't taken the courses. I like the step by step processes she gives for getting your business going. I agree with her methods and they run similar to advice from credible big time business gurus; you need to have a scalable business that doesnt eat your time. She does go into details about how to sell your product or service. I like her focus on matching your business with your personality strengths so you are more likely to keep working and be successful. She gets you actively involved with quizzes and questions to get you one step closer to your goal. The way she writes is easy to understand and doesn't contain a lot of extra details or personal stories. It's very straightforward which I liked and even though I'm a slow reader I was able to get through it in a morning. Cat knows a lot and is a great guide. I highly recommend.
- Wish I had this book 2 years ago. I've been learning a lot of the lessons in here the hard way. The author did a brilliant job at sharing the reality of coming as a brand new player to the online space. Most coaches won't share these things with you unless you pay high 4 figures , so best grab this book and see where it takes you.

- I love this book. Down to earth, knowledgeable and yet, everything is allowed, means, you gain clarity on what works for you and who you are, business-wise, to begin with. Then you learn about the different steps you can take to stay true to yourself, whilst creating a business that fits like a glove. No 'one-fits-all' blueprint stuff... And I highly recommend taking the quizz offered in the book to find out, what business type you are, before you invest too much time and money into the wrong idea and business. I feel professional and permitted to be 'different' at the same time. Thank you for this little treasure casket!
